BrandonMBuffer for FLV?

I am using Flash 8 Professional.

Here is a link to what I have so far.

All I am trying to do is add a buffer screen to allow some time to load. I've tried a few different methods using the tutorials on creative cow and Flashcomguru but I still can't get anything to work. Am I missing something in those? Does anyone have any advice on what direction I should go?

Thanks in advance.

My advice for a "splash screen" before the video start is to acutually import a graphic and put it underneath the spot where the video plays. That way it will show before the video plays and then just gets overlaid with the video when it's ready.

That should do the trick with no programming, but let me know if this doesn't solve your problem.
