How to Keep an SWF File Within its Boundaries?
by Bernd Garving on Feb 16, 2007 at 7:28:06 am

Hi there ...

... I created a webbanner (468 x 60). It shows a filmstrip that moves from the bottom to the top. Everything is okay when you watch it within the website. You get exactly the 468 x 60 pixels I wanted. But everybody who knows how to download the swf-file can see more. When I open the swf-file itself it doesn't show only the 468 x 60 pixels but everything I put into the whole stage.

Is there a technique to keep an swf-file within its boundaries? To mask what shouldn't be seen?

Hope I could make it clear what I mean.

Regards from good old Germany.

create your banner inside a single movieclip. If your banner containers dynamic textfields than use set the mask using actionscripting otherwise you can use timeline mask.
