Exporting SWF with an Alpha Channel
by justyot on Feb 13, 2007 at 4:31:46 am

How do you export an SWF with an Alpha Channel? Is it even possible?

Scenario:
I would like to import SWF files into Adobe After Effects with an alpha channel using the plug-in (SWF2VIDEO). The program has the ability to convert SWF's with alpha channels to videos with alpha channels. The rub is: can you export a SWF with an alpha? Or, must you create a green background and key it out in AE and create an alpha the hard way?

Thanks,
Yotam

Hi,

Try export movie and choose png sequence but make sure the 24 bit with alpha channel is selected.

Then when importing into after effects choose image sequence.

grafxflow

grafx that flow!
