I can't seam to find the place to change the path of a jpg file placed in the Library so to have the .swf file link to the jpg on the web rather then the local file. I know it must be something easy but haven't got it to work. I've tried Linkage Properties/ Import for runtime sharing and put in the URL but when I play the movie it shows a red box in place of where the liked jpg should be. Can Anyone Help?

Most often, this is done with actionscript. I honestly don't know (but I doubt it) that you can link to an external image in your library.

The actionscript for doing this would be:

my_mc.loadMovie('http://www.mywebpage.com/images/extImg.jpg');

Thanks Matt! I ended up just re-creating the short animation with the linked jpg in Dreamweaver. I don't understand how Flash could replace MM Director if it can't do something as simple as allowing you to change the path to a linked jpeg, without having to script. Thanks Again Anyway!
