Interactive Dials / Dashboard

OK, I need to build some dials that control graphs interactively. This is beyond me code-wise, is there anyone out there who has built something like this in the past? Peep this for an example: http://resources.businessobjects.com/support/cx/samples/download_45/profita...
I need that functionality, but on a simpler basis. Twist a knob, a graph moves. I have done this in the past with Crystal Xcelsius, which takes Excel spreadsheets and generates interactive .swf files from them, as in the link. But I do not have that software available to me at this job.
Can anyone help or point me to any resources? Thanks!
