I've been playing a bit and I have to admit I'm not so impressed with the new codec. I'm getting better filesize to quality ratios out of Sorenson using Squeeze Pro as opposed to Flash 8 with On2, the video with On2 is decent but any compressed graphics look really pixelated. I'm also more than a little annoyed that I have to pay for a license if I want to use On2 with Squeeze.

It depends on the tools you are using...
Should be a filter or part of the settings...
Most NTSC Video is LFF (lower field first, this is variable though) and the signal is made up of a field and frame interlaced(30frames and 30 fields per second gives you 60i or 60cycles per second)...removing one of these helps with file size and playback on computer screens
Aliased graphics can be a result of a few things...hard to determine from here...

Gotcha, thanks, I'll check on the interlacing. I'm working in After Effects, shot the video on green screen with a panasonic AG-DV30, then keyed and created the graphics in AE. took the uncompressed QT from there and put that through Flash with the On2 codec and got nice video and unimpressive graphics.
