Sorenson Supports VP6 FLV!!!

Great news for all those who own Sorenson Squeeze. Sorenson 4.2 will support encoding LFV files to the new VP6 codec for Flash 8. This is great news! Read the press release here.

That's great news, but the line:

"Macromedia selected the On2 video codec for inclusion into Flash 8, and we're pleased to offer our customers the professional version of that codec."

sounds just like the problem with the original Sorenson codec, where the process in Flash did not yield the highest results because of different versions of the codec and needing to purchase Squeeze to get the Pro version.
