FLV: set start and end times

Okay, here is a challenge for the experts (which I clearly am not)....

Using the media display and controller components I would like to:

dictate the start and end times of an FLV and be able to repeat the same clip during playback. The reason for this is that we want to show portions of an FLV and then show the entire FLV later.

I've tried using the seek cue/time behaviors and am able to set the start time, but the clip defaults to the beginning of the FLV when the play button is hit a second time. Furthermore, the time line in the controller is no longer accurate.

The reason for using the components is the ease and speed with which intermeidate developers can build new projects (from a template).

*If you have a solution that doesn't use the components, I would also like to hear from you.
