Thrausi and Fracture for Design NOT Explosion
by Lillian Young on Feb 9, 2012 at 3:53:34 am
A while ago, I found a tutorial on using the Thrausi plugin with C4D's Fracture to make a design. Unfortunately that link is now dead and all video tutorials that come up are how to make text explode.
I can't remember how I did it, but maybe you can help me?
I would break text using Thrausi, then use the Fracture object to make the pieces separate, but not explode, thus making a really cool design with text that looks like it's in pieces. But I cannot remember which steps I took to do this.

you'd probably have to turn off the dynamics tag that Thrausi puts on to stop explosion. Then enable the Fracture objects that are generated that contain the parts and use an effector to move the pieces a bit - assuming I understand what you are after.

I just tried to find Thrausi or Catastrophy but the http://www.nitro4d.com page is not up anymore. Does anyone know more about this? Is it discontinued?
