converting symmetry arms to individual sides
by Darren Fetzer on Nov 6, 2009 at 12:22:28 am

so i've made this mecha, and i'm using the symmetry tool, what i need to do is to make the other side into an object - BUT! that limb has to move independent from the other. so using the current-state-to-object tool only does half the job i need it to do. the limbs still act like they're stuck in symmetry mode, when i move one arm, both sides move together instead of only one.

what do i do?

Sounds like you have the arms rigged?

mmmm, i'm a newbie, so i don't know what rigging means.

i have all the layers correctly grouped named and sorted if that matters.
