Strobe Light
by Chris Walter on Apr 19, 2009 at 5:03:39 am

So I have maybe...8 lights in the scene. Is there a way i can keyframe strobe these based on the music? I know there's a "sound effector" but i have no idea how to use it, or how to create the strobe without keyframing the "enable" button in each light. Does anyone know?

Take a light and place it in a Cloner object. Then use the cloner object to arrange them however you want them. Then get a sound effector from the mograph menu and in the attributes there is a lnk there to browse for a sound file. To hear the music you need to enable sound. THere is a small icon to do this beside the timeline. Cinema is picky when it comes to sound files so check in the help file to get the specs.

Another way to get a strobe effect is to get your light and in xpresso plug a noise node into the Intesity input of the light.
