Hello all
I have cinema4d11 demo version and I have questions:
The NLA system is efficient? stability is good?
Is there a system like biped in max, or like motionbuilder?
I I am looking for a specific example to make rig and controller.
What do you think of cactus dan: www.cactus3d.com? necessary or not to make the animated character in c4d11?
Is there a complete training DVD "rigging into Cinema4D"? Do you think it's possible to rig quickly into c4d or should it better to go elsewhere?
I work with max and motionbuilder but I I seek to look elsewhere but c4d is sufficiently complete for character animation?

Ah, lot's of questions. :)
The new NLA system in Cinema is very similar to the Motion Builder system (not coincidentally!). As such it's quite powerful and easy to use. However ... it's not quite as flexible as MB's system in terms of reusing animation with different characters; it won't really work unless the rigs are identical (size and overall setup). I suggest you check out the video tutorials for it at cineversity.com. There are several free ones there that you can view.
Rigging is quite possible to do in Cinema with the native tools, which have become pretty good over the last few releases. I don't have CD's tools but from what I hear they are also very good -- probably a little more advanced and easier to use than the native ones.
There is nothing like biped in Cinema, but it is possible to use motion files. Not sure how it's done exactly, but I know it's possible.
