Moving rotation axis
by Brett Thayer on Sep 24, 2008 at 7:47:29 pm

I'm animating a model that will need to rotate along 2 different points...imagine a screwdriver prying closer to the handle..then later in the animation prying closer to the tip. How do I move the object center point without messing up the entire animation?

The easiest way to deal with it is to nest the object inside of two nulls: one at the tip and one at the base. Then animate the nulls instead of the object. So the heirarchy could be:

TipNull
----BaseNull
---------Obect
