Infinite bouncing with Rigid body dynamic
by Tim Sawford on Sep 24, 2008 at 1:40:12 pm

Hi there, I am pretty new to C4D, and really only know basics. If someone can help with this, I would be really grateful.

I have attached a link to a screenshot of what I have so far.

Basically, I want the white strips to drop to the bottom of the box, bounce and collide with the other strips — infinitely — as opposed to resting at the bottom eventually. However the problem I am getting with what I have so far is that if I increase the Elasticity of the strips over 100%, they penetrate the walls I setup to bounce off! Very frustrating — perhaps I am approaching what I want to achieve in the wrong way?!

Cheers
Tim

Solver Object/Main/Energy Loss - 0%
Rigid Dynamics Tag on objects - Aerodynamics - all 0%
Rigid Dynamics Tag on objects - Collision - I don't know what settings are going to be on a bunch of objects but if you bounce a ball on a floor and set Floor to elasticity - 100% and the ball to 101% it's pretty close to no energy loss, both at 100% will still lose energy.
