Objects in my scene go missing when i move their parent.
by Freerk Lap on Sep 18, 2008 at 2:53:38 pm

Hi,

this is my first post here, because I'm in desperate need for help.

I'm animating a moving bed, something like a hospital bed, with diffrent positions. But every time when i move one of the groups of parts (consisting of the following order:

Group 1:
- supporting beams
- group with 3 components (2 of each):
-- Models of "graspers" which are loft based
-- models of spines which are loft based
-- models of soft ends on the spines. These soft ends consist of the following combination:
---A Boolaen existing of 2 boxes, which contains:
----A hypernurb, which contains:
-----A Box

Now that you know how the groups work(each dash consists of a group, i hope i made that clear) I can explain what goes wrong:

When i render my model, its fine, but when i move Group 1 (and thus everything i just mentioned) sometimes a soft end goes missing, and most often only 1 per group. I usually replace them with 1 soft end of another group, and then its fine, but now i have to render to whole thing while its animated, so i doubt i can replace those things continually.

Is there something to fix this? I would love some advice, and if im not clear enough, please do ask.

I'm running Cinema 4D 10.1 and its rendering on a C2D 6400 2.13ghz processor.

Thanks!

I would start by making the booleans editable. They can be a little finicky at times.
