Geometery Unwrap
by Faiz ul Hassan on Sep 2, 2008 at 11:25:03 am

Hello to All my seniors,
This is my first post in the forum. Please someone help me. i want to make a geometery like diamond to be flaten or unwrap. like a diamond open as a paper or unwrap its polygons to be written someting on it or to display msg. on it. All polygons with one control with Xpresso controlled. and the unwraping processing should b started from center to far away polygons and some spring type effect during unwraping. i have a how-know about xpresso but could not do that myself.
Thanx in advance all my respectable seniors.

Hassan

This isn't something that can be automated easily with xpresso. It's possible you could set up morphs, but that would probably be tricky too because of the multiple rotation points. Your best bet would probably be to use bones or joints. I did a video tutorial using bones to unwrap a cube if that would be of any help: http://www.3danvil.com/tutorials/box_an/bax_an002.swf
