Change object's starting point in solver
by Joey Ciccoline on Aug 27, 2008 at 9:48:59 pm

I've created an object that fall on another object using gravity and a solver. Everything works great, however, I want to have the object that falls drop from a greater height. When I try and move the object nothing happens. I can pull the object out of the solver and move it, but then when I put it back in, it's position returns to where it was before I pulled it out of the solver. How do I change an object's position once it's in the solver object?

turn off the solver, move the object, choose Initialize Object (or Initialize All Objects) from the Dynamics menu, turn the solver back on
