Animation suggestions needed

	Animation suggestions needed by Brett Thayer on Jul 23, 2008 at 4:13:47 pm I need to animate a tube (like toothpaste or silicone calk leaving a bead of paste around the inside of a pipe. The tubes tip will rotate around the inside of the pipe leaving "paste" behind. I need some suggestions on how best to animate this. My first thought is to animate a sweep nurbs using a circle and a spline..grow the spline as the tube moves. Can anyone think of a better solution? A torus (sliced) might work as well if its possible to animate the slice percentage. I have the objects models....my pipe and tube. Thanks for any suggestions. How do you add to a spline? I know there is an add point function but how about a "continue spline function or add to spline? To animate the spline how do I add keyframes? for what functions? I was refering to the spline control inside the Sweep nurbs itself...make your shape as usual and then Expand the "details" in the Attibute manager and you will see two spline graphs... size and rotation... /randy Respond to this post     Return to posts index
