Tracer troubles
by Chris Perry on May 23, 2008 at 10:24:50 am

Hi i'm having some problems with the tracer.

I have some clones setup that have been joined using connect all with the tracer.

I am using a random effector to move the clones around, but if the animation is quite fast the tracer loses track of the clones and they don't line up properly.

I have tried using the mograph baker but it doesn't seem to help.

Any help would be great.

The editor view is sometimes off but it will render okay in the picture viewer; are you seeing the problem in both places?

Yeah it is better but still a bit off, i think it just needs a bit more time to process each frame, is there anyway to adjust this?

It only happens when there is a big movement. Any other ideas would be great.

I'm having the same problem and am now in a real jam. Even the tracer tutorials on CC site exhibit the same problem they are just a bit hidden by the size of the clones. It's very frustrating when things in C4D don't work the way they are supposed to. This issue almost makes the tracer entirely useless for animation which is particularly insane since it's part of the mograph module. Anyone have any ideas on how to force c4d to update the tracer? Xpresso maybe?
