Problem with keyframes
by Jack Cook on Feb 14, 2008 at 7:32:16 pm

I'm using version 10.5 on my Mac, and am having a problem with keyframes not keeping the values I set for them. I never had this problem with version 9.

Here's what happens: I am setting keyframes in the Object Manager for Visibility, for example. I select the Display tag on an object and click the Use Visibility box, and then I go to a time and put in the visibility value I want, and control click the little circle next to the word Visibility. A key is set. Then I go to a new time, set another value, control click, etc. This is the normal way to do it. I'll set several keys to make an object appear, stay for a while and then disappear. Everything works fine, and when I go from key to key the values read correctly. I save the file. Then, I notice that suddenly for some reason, all the keys now have the same value instead of the different ones I originally set for them, and the animation isn't working. If I choose one keyframe and change the value and control click the circle, it changes, but now ALL the keys change to that value and I can't control them. I've had this happen with pretty much anything I set keys for, not just Visibility. What the heck is going on here? Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.

thanks,
Jack
