Newbie needs help with a tin texture on a pit roof
by Joseph M. Morgan on Jun 6, 2007 at 1:00:37 pm

I have a problem getting my texture proper on a pit roof (polygon extruded inner and upward). .

As you can see from the picture, on one side it looks just fine, but on the other the ridges are horizontal. I need them always vertical. Is there a way to map it so the ridges are always going vertical? I could solve it if I could find a way to map a texture just to the face of a polygon.

You can, just select the polygon and choose selection--->set selection, name it however you prefer. On the texture tag limit just drag it or write the name of the selection in the selection box and that's it, now you just need to set other selections for the faces and map them correctly.

Hope this helps

Alejandro
