modifying "vibrate"
by renderedHero on Apr 29, 2007 at 11:02:23 pm

Hey guys, i need to figure out how to modify a "vibrate" expression to decay. the object needs to have a violent shake then suddenly stop and fall into place with a slight bounce. i have the vibrate down perfect, but I'm still very new to c4d, espeically with animating and expressions. if i could import the object and lights in to AE, I could do it there, but I have yet to figure that out.

any insight??

thanks guys!

You can animate any parameter in Cinema that has a small circle to the left of its name in the Attributes Manager. You do that by simply Ctrl + clicking on the circle, which causes it to turn solid red.

You can export cameras and lights to AE using the compositing project file options in the Render>Save dialogue. You'll have to install the C4D->AE plugin in AE. The plugin is found in your Cinema>Exchange Plugins folder.

After you install the plugin you can open the .aec file that Cinema creates in AE and it will automatically import your Cinema camera, lights, etc.
