Grouping Splines???
by doka15 on Sep 6, 2005 at 4:26:29 am

I forgot this from a tutorial a long time ago. I created 1 Bezier spline. Kind of like looking down a jet engine. I copied that spline and shrank it down. Now, I'm trying to group the splines together so I can add the extrude to extrude the jet enging. I am have a hard time grouping them. Still using version 7

Thanks.

I think in 7 it was: make the splines editable, drop them in a null, do a Functions/Connect and drop the resulting spline into your Extrude.

It's the drop them in a null part I am unsure of, I think that was the v7 way (it's been a while). In 8 and 9 you just select both the splines in the OM and do a Functions/Connect. In 7 since you can't select more than one thing at a time I believe the null was the solution...

It sounds like the best thing is to upgrade. I don't use it that often anymore so I would hate to spend hundreds of $$$ on it.

thanks,
