Re: Meeting dates by Ray Palmer on May 2, 2009 at 4:21:12 am
Welcome John.
We are due for another meeting and we shoot for the last Thursday of the month.
Scott Anderson and I put the meetings together. I spoke with Scott just today and we are attempting to firm up the date and location of the next meeting. Hopefully May 28.
We don't have any expenses so we don't charge any dues or fees. All are welcome to network regarding FCP and video production in Arizona.
We post the meeting location and topic here on the cow at least a week prior to the meeting and we also send out a mass email to the members that we are aware of.
Please send me your contact information and we will add your name to our mass email.
BTW, what part of Ohio? I am from the Akron/Canton area.
Best regards,
Ray Palmer

[Ray Palmer]"I am from the Akron/Canton area."
Ray,
I've heard that the world's most awesome people come from the Akron/Canton area. They are good looking, intelligent, loaded with class and absolutely, the "cream of the crop". And talent? Oh yeah. Loaded with talent. You bet. I'll bet you have a bevy of admirers.

Ghouldi in Cleveland. by Ray Palmer on May 18, 2009 at 2:24:29 am
It was never the same when Ghoulardi left for the West Coast.
Hoolihan and Big Chuck tried but it was never as good.
Ghoulardi was the reason I got into video production. I am curious if he had that same effect on anyone else.
Ernie Anderson... Cleveland's Ernie Kovacs.

I can't say that for myself but looking back, he really was ahead of his time and pushed a lot of boundaries. I don't know if he was the first to do it but I use to love how he would green screen himself into his movies. I still remember some campy movie called Kronus or something like that where the robot is stomping the town. Everyone is running and then Ernie breaks in with his coat and wig running. He was a riot. Working with Ernie is where Tim Conway got his start.
Thank you... by Steve Wargo on May 23, 2009 at 9:32:58 am
Thanks for the cruise down memory lane. Did you know that Ghoulardi was fired for singing "One eyed, one horned, flying purple p---r eater" instead of "people eater"? And away he went. I think alcohol had something to do with this.
