Deck Hook Up

	Deck Hook Up by Craig Maynard on Sep 13, 2008 at 3:58:05 pm Hi All, I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this question but I'm sure someone could point me in the right direction. I just picked up an old JVC SR-VS20 Mini DV/S VHS Recorder Player. I am trying to connect it to a Mac Pro, Dual Core Intel Xeon 2.66 G, 4 G dimm. I have it connected via firewire but Final Cut and the Computer for that matter can't seem to find it. Do I need a special capture card? 	Re: Deck Hook Up by Scott Anderson on Sep 13, 2008 at 4:47:24 pm I'm not familiar with that particular model, but I seem to recall some of the older DV/SVHS combo decks either had an internal menu item to switch output between analog and DV out, or would only output over Firewire from a DV tape. So, to use SVHS tapes, you may need to dupe them to DV tape first (what a hassle!).
