24p and 24p advanced

I have recently started shooting everything for my own personal projects in 24PA on the panasonc DVX100A. The 24pa capture has proven to be fairly simple, and encoding for DVD is nice too, as I save about 20% in disc space, and can pack that much more into my DVD's. However, my problem is, that though I embraced shooting in 24p as soon as I was able to get my hands on a first gen DVX100, I chose to shoot in 24p over 24PA. Only because I was too scared in the early days.
Now that I am shooting all in 24pa, is there any way to intergrate my older 24p footage with the 24pa, on a 23.97 TC timeline. Rendering 24p into the 24pa timeline is awful, and cutting on a 29.97 timeline defeats the whole purpose for shooting 24PA.
I'm just wondering if there is any way to get the 24 frames out of footage shot in the 24p mode, so I can intercut it with my current 24PA footage.
All footage has been shot on a DV100A, and the SDX900.
That's all. Just wondering if my old footy is hosed when it comes to cutting in 23.97 domain.

Dustin.
Thanks for the post. I don't have experience with the 24PA and 24P issue.
If you don't get a response here in the AZFCPUG, I suggest that you post your question on the Cow in the General FCP users forum.
Gary Adcock hangs out there and he might be able to answer your question.
