Presonus Firestudio Project firewire interface help!
by Donnie Stephenson on Aug 17, 2009 at 2:22:11 am

Okay, so I am using a Presonus Firestudio Project firewire interface, and i create all of my tracks on Apple Logic pro 8, but, when i do, only 4 out of the 8 tracks i create are able to record. I have record enabled on all of the tracks and I have no idea how to change the inputs. when i select the input when creating a new track, i select: 'Input 1-2' and input 1 is my bass drum and input 2 is my snare drum. and when i try to record, only one of them can record at a time. I NEED SERIOUS HELP, PLEASE.

Donnie when you connect your Interface you need to go to Preferences/Audio/Devices/CoreAudio......you than select your device from the drop down menu in the preference page. If you do not see Pre Souns in that drop down menu it isnt communicating properly check your connection and restart the machine.

Follow the same instructions above and select PreSonus. Now with that properly configured go to the arrange page or mixer page and go to a track and select your input for that track. You should be able to select as many tracks to record with as you have on your interface.

Hope that makes sense to you and dont forget to look in the manual for information on correct setiup. Let me know if this works for you.

Charlie
