Proxy Files

Shooting with a Panasonic HDX-900 (720p 59.94) I have recorded MXF Files from Nano Flash and imported them into Avid MC. Import was a snap I was very impressed. Nano Flash Rocks!

Is there a way to create Proxy files from these MXF files? This would be a great time saver. I could send my client a Proxy file for review rather than tie up the Avid creating a TC Burn.

Hi Julio-
If your Avid system has HD-SDI out, then you could feed the output back into the nanoFlash and record at a lower bit-rate. We will soon add 19 and 25 Mbps for MXF and QT files.
