DV capture via SDI has audio issues

I've tried capturing some standard DV footage in Final Cut from my Sony hvr-m25u through an HD Connect MI, but the embedded audio has crackling noise. I am using a BlackMagic HD Extreme card in a Mac Pro. I can capture the video SDI, and the audio through xlr analog inputs and that audio is fine. This is what I'm doing to work around the issue with the embedded audio. Is there a fix for this, or a setting I should change?

Hi Dan,
The latest version of firmware has this issue fixed. It was caused by a locking issue in standard def.
To install the update, install the controller application, goto the firmware update tab, click refresh list and choose current_1.1.46 from the drop down list. Restart the application to download the update and connect your MI via firewire to your computer to do the update.
Let me know if this fixes your issue.
Regards,

Won't work for me. I've got an SD-Connect, which came new with the audio crackling feature at no extra charge. In fact, CD didn't even mention it in their specs/features list when they launched it. Wonder why?
