Hi,
just wanting to confirm that I can use a JVC BR-HD50 through HDMI to Avid Liquid ChromeHD inputting to either SDI or HD SDI on the chromeHD BOB while still controlling through RS422 with the HDconnectMI?
Signal from BR-HD50 will be PAL 720p

Hi Nick,
We have not specifically tested with the Liquid Chrome, but there should not be any issues with your setup. One thing to be aware of is that your JVC BR-HD50 will need to be firmware updated. Older firmware versions encrypted the HDMI output, but the latest version does not.
One thing to consider is that you could use the nanoConnect instead of the HD-Connect MI and connect the RS-422 directly to the BR-HD50. This would be a cheaper alternative.
Let me know if you have further questions.
Regards,

Hi Nick,
Correct. If you purchase the nanoConnect, you can connect the RS-422 directly from your Chrome BOB to the BR-HD50 and the nanoConnect will just do the video/audio conversion.
