Capturing audio through a Pro Walkman
by Geoffrey1959 on Jun 4, 2006 at 1:52:57 pm

Hello,

First time using my SD box today and most things on the video side are fine. I have an old audio casstte I want to digitize into my Avid however, but don't seem to be able to. I am playing it on a Sony WMD6 pro walkman, and have a two channel phono lead out from the Line out socket on the rear. These go into the rear inputs
on the SD connect. Audio source is Analog unbalanced. What am I doing wrong?

Regards,

Geoffrey Smith

Hi Geoffrey,
Most likely the issue you are having is that the SD-Connect needs a video source. In order to do any conversions, the SD-Connect must have a valid video source. If you connect a reference and choose reference as the source or connect a valid composite signal, it will do the conversion.

Let me know if this fixes your issue.
