Bob Zelinno tftp server in OS X Lion ?
by on Sep 26, 2011 at 1:57:18 pm

Hi -
this is driving me crazy. In the past, when I needed to load firmware from a tftp server service, I would stick the files into
the /private/tftpboot folder, and run "service tftp start".

But this no longer works in OS X Lion ? Does anyone know a way around this ?

I am writing this for those that will need to use this information in the future, to make this "verbose". The command that Mr. Modica has stated is correct, but not complete - certainly not for morons like me -

to launch tftp server in OS X Lion, in terminal -

sudo launchctl load -F /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/tftp.plist
sudo launchctl start com.apple.tftpd

thanks once again, as without your valuable help, I would never have found it.
