Can't save FCP settings to Xsan
by Zhang Junhao on May 5, 2008 at 11:28:51 am

Hi,

For some reason FCP keeps asking for scratch disk settings even when I have already pointed it to Xsan.

Has anyone encounter this before ?

Cheers !

Unless your Xsan keeps mounting/unmounting at the wrong times, this really sounds more like an FCP issue rather than an Xsan issue.

I'd suggest deleting all your FCP settings, repair permissions, and try again.

Not in front of Mac but I believe you can disable the ports via the built-in FC Utility in Sys Prefs.

Re: PROMAX OUT OF BUSINESS?

Ernesto,

A friend of mine just called me and said that all the Promax employees received their last checks on April 30th and that the company was shutting down. Is that true? I told him it couldn't be but I tried calling my regular salesman and no one answered. That is the first time that has ever happened.

Robert
