making a ribbon

i need to make a ribbon in 3d max but i'm new to the program and can not find a tutorial anywhere that can help me.

any ideas?

can I help you in some way?

making ribbon is not difficult but if you want to animate it like a real one then tricks come alive.... what you exactly looking for? any reference sample?

is it something seen in olympic games? those girls rotate hands and ribbon follows..........?
