3ds max reatcor cloth
by Al Winchell on Jul 15, 2009 at 7:55:42 am

HI need some direction on this. I have a modeled hat with a scarf wrapped around it. I need the scarf to blow about and and when it hits parts of the hat, deform around it rather than cut through it.

I am using reactor cloth as a cloth collection with wind and making the hat a rigid collection. I'm not sure how to tell the cloth to NOT go through the hat as it blows around, but deform around it.

thanks

Hi,
for this you can also use Simcloth 3. It´s free and easier to use for this.

Suggestion, partial start to solution - set up the hat as a collision object.
