files and thumbnsils wont open in 2009

hi

my files and pic thumbnails wont open in 2009. when i import image as back ground plane i get a message saying no drivers to perform this request. What drivers? also my saves 2009 max files wont open. i get an error message for this saying something like, cant perform requested operation.

can you help?

I would do a full uninstall of 3ds max. even after the unistall delet and folders or directories that you know the installer makes.

restart reinstall 3ds max.

that is the best thing to do, it sounds like you max directory got messed up.
