Aligning a curve to a surface?
by Andy Wheatley on Apr 23, 2008 at 5:14:26 am

Hi, this is my first post here after lurking for a long time.

Im rather inexperienced with 3d Studio Max, and can't figure out how to do something I hope is pretty simple-

Basically, I have a plane, with a wave modifier, and I would like to have an object travel along a curve, but stay fixed to the surface of the plane as it waves about. How the heck do I do this? Thanks,
Andy

I decided to just animate the vertices of the curve to follow the wave. So my next question is: how can I access the vertices of a line in the curve editor? The vertices are drifting like crazy in between my keyframes, randomly moving distances more than twice the length of my scene sometimes. I'm guessing this has something to do with keyframe interpolation, but I dont know how to select all the keys and set them to linear, especially since the keyframed vertices are seemingly nowhere to be found in the curve editor.
