Reducing Poly Count
by cutter Johnston on Jan 27, 2008 at 6:03:47 pm

I have just finished my first character and it is so heavy that I cannot do anything with it. How do I reduce the number of polygons so it can be animated? As it is now I am enjoying a crash fest

try this
Start with selecting your object, then /modifier/Optimize.
It is has some options that will help bring you face count down.
Or you could look around www.maxundergrounds.com for a better modifier plugin that might do a better job than Optimize.
good luck
