FumeFx: wierd error

Whenever i try to use the plug-in FumeFx, i cant view a few things on the side of the parameters palette and i cant resize it either.
the left half of the picture shows a blank area to the right of the palette. when i try clicking on the very edge to resize it, the blank space moves to the left (as shown in the left half of the picture)

does anyone know how to fix this problem so i can use the fumefx properly?
