Converting Rhino Files
by loucifer14 on Jun 18, 2007 at 1:46:37 am

What is the best way to convert Rhino files to 3D Studio Max? I have made obj. files and converted them but it doesn't keep the same poly structure. If there is a better way or a plug-in that I could use please let me know.

Thanks,
Lou

This is not my method, but I found it listed as a solution on CGArchitect.com. Here's the quote:

"You can export "lossless" geometry to MAX in IGES format (nurbs ).
However you will have to deal with MAX's nurbs engine which is quite slow.

Other way is to play with the advanced export options - you can get really good results with exporting i.e. to 3ds or DXF format."

Hope it helps.
