Is there a way to take a frame from a Studio Max Model (Version 7) and export it as a vector graphic to open in Illustrator?

I tried hitting export as filename.ai and a error box pops up that says 'no data to export.'

Any help would be great.

... first of all, meditate a bit over the difference between 3d and 2d, polygons and bezier-curves.

A vector is not a vector is not vector.

hope it helps

If I understand you correctly, what about "Illustrate", have you looked into using this plugin for MAX? It is a very nice tool, and offers exactly what you are asking.

Hope that helps,
Tom
