does anyone know how i can create a contrazoom effect with a free camera in max? i have tried simply moving the camera towards the subject whilst changing the field of view but i cannot get the subject to stay the same size as this happens. first it zooms out a bit again and then goes in.

i would like to achieve this effect in order to go from a very long lense to mimic an orthographic projection and then shift to perspective.

any ideas?

You should be able to get the effect your looking for in the way you are doing it......Almost sounds like its a keyframing issue...If your just "auto keying" id say mess around with key frames to make sure your camera adjustments are timed right.

Great souls have will,,,weak ones have wishes.
