FS-100 250Gb Upgrade?

I see that the 250Gb version of the FS-100 has come out. I bought a
160Gb days before NAB and asked the FS-100 product manager if there
were going to be any new developments I should know about announced
at NAB. He said nothing regarding the FS-100, just new HDV product. Right.
Now he told me that the 250Gb model has a "completely different board set". Yet, I just read a post in another forum of a user who upgraded his FS-100 to 250Gb by replacing the existing drive to the same Hitachi 250Gb drive that Focus uses. This cost him $100.
Has anybody ever done a hard drive upgrade on their FS-100 or know
anybody who has? If this is possible, it certainly would be a huge
savings compared to the FS-100-250. I'd also like to know if there
is more than one partition?

There's a guy who has done this and he charges I think 3 or 400 bucks to do it. Here's one site it's for his firewiresaver. firewiresaver.silo23.com you'll have to call him and ask him about the new hard drives he has for the FS-100. I can't find his other site, he also make monitors.
