HDX900 Firestore FS-100 and PC workflow

Hi All,
I'm looking for a work flow that supports the HDX900 and Firestore FS-100.
My destination NLE (Adobe with Axio) can edit DVCPro HD native codec and also supports MXF import.
Using the FS-100 with a P2 based camera is a no brainer, just put the FS in P2 Mode and shoot away.
However, since the HDX900 is Tape based, can I still use the P2 mode with the stream coming from the HDX900 over Firewire? Obviously, the camera itself does not support P2 internally as it's shooting tape.
Am I over thinking this?
So my issue really is that my destination is PC, and the HDX is tape based not P2. How are the files written to the FS-100 for use in my NLE?

The is nothing "P2" about the information that is coming over Firewire, it is the Firestore that takes that information and formats it to P2 file structure.
Best think to do would be to rent a firestore and test our the workflow.

OK so as long as I set the format to match the incoming resolution, the P2 setting in the unit itslef dictates that the folder structure is created and the media is split into it's essences from the incoming stream.

Actually you just set it to DVCProHD and it is good for any flavor of HD 1080 or 720. Then you set it to P2 or Quicktime to choose which file format you want.
