Any experience recording long takes...like 2 hours?

Hi I'm wonder if anyone has any experiece using the FS-100 to record in DVCPro50 30p continuously for up to 2 hours?
I'm thinking about filming a seminar with the HVX200 and the FS-100. Can the FS-100 do this with Professional Reliability? ...ie...same as tape?
I've also heard that you can chain link the FS-100 together with other FS-100's for even longer record times. I wonder can you output firewire from the HVX200 into both a firewire dvcpro50 deck and a FS-100 at the same time? If so, would you have to stop recording on the fs-100 to change tapes on the deck or could you continue to record on the fs-100 while changing tapes?
Lastly, on the Firestore website it mentions that "It is also now possible to record DVCPRO 50 and DVCPRO HD QuickTime files for direct import into Final Cut Pro." What is the benefit? Why would you want this?

I used it on a shoot and with DVCPRO 50 I had 317 minutes recording time available, so it can record 2 hours no probs, can you trust it to record non stop, I don't see why not, even tape can screw things up. But I think you wanting to use it with your DVCPro deck via firewire is probably the best way to go if you dont trust the technology, just my 2.5 cents

Hey thanks for the response.
So were you saying that you did actually record for all 318 minutes yourself in one take?
I do "believe" in the technology which is why I bought the camera and will buy the fs-100, but "trust" is a different thing only gained by successful experience. Since I have none with the firestore at any length takes and even less than none at long 2 hour takes, I'm trying to see if anyone has used theirs under this demand?
The firewire out to a deck I trust because I've, rented the camera and tried it out but I didn't have access to the fs-100 for this and I don't want to rent it again...
Does anyone know about chaining a firewire deck and a fs-100 together out of the HVX200?
Thanks!
Chris

-- You should have no problem recording DVCPro50 30p continuously for over 2 hours or more (provided that you have the free disk space) with an FS-100

-- Currently as of FCP v5, Final Cut Pro works with QuickTime .mov files exclusively - so therefore if you are able to capture your video IN THE FIELD as QuickTime .mov, once you are ready to edit you will then be able to instantly drag and drop those clips into Final Cut Pro without having to first convert them to .mov from some other file format (which would take time). This is a huge time saver and that is why Focus calls it "DTE - Direct To Edit" Technology.

I shot two 3-1/2 hour live performances (afternoon and eveing) with mine. All on one unit two weeks ago. I shot everything off battery power. Post is done and project is in the can. The Firestore worked great!
