So I just got my USB MIDI cable to connect my Casio CTK 574 to my Macbook using Garageband. The cable acknowledges that it's connected, and I put the settings on the keyboard to MIDI. When I go to record in Garageband, the keyboard makes noise but does not record IN garageband.
What should I do?

Open Garage Band, go to System Preferences, and change setting fro " General " to " Audio/Midi"

Sorry, that was my 1st post.
Open Garage Band
Open ( Garage Band) System Preferences
On the top row of icons. click " Audio/ Midi "
Close System Preferences
In your project itself, be sure to change Monitor to " On"
You should be OK.
