G-Tech Customer Service Debacle

I returned a G-Drive 500GB combo under warranty that was received by G-Tech on September 11th. They sent me a confirmation email claiming it would be turned around in 5-10 business days. It's now October 27th and I spoke to customer service who had some long-winded nonsensical explanation of delays caused by a change in management system on their end but, the long and short of it is, they haven't even looked at the drive yet.

Either G-Tech is being run terribly, or they are being overrun by faulty equipment.

Either way, caveat emptor.

The least they could do is send an email with an explanation of the delay.

Hi Noah,

I'm sorry we took so long to repair your drive, I believe we finished yours last week. We are getting to the drives as fast as we can, and unfortunately we had developed a backlog due to various things, and are attempting to get caught up. We understand that you have concerns about turnaround time, and I am sorry that we are behind, and we are working long hours to correct the situation.
