G-RAID 2 - Degraded Status?

Hello,
My 500gb G-RAID 2 drive will not mount unless I open Disk Utility...once it does mount, it works fine, however it showing up as "DEGRADED" status...any suggestions on how to fix this?

It sounds like one of the drives in your RAID set are going bad, You should back up your data and send in the drive for repair. You can fill out the RMA request form here: http://www.g-technology.com/Support/Support.cfm?Loc=Contact. Please let me know if you have any questions.
