Yes! I'm using the G-Speed XL 12 (have been for 2 years or so). In that time, it has been great. It's had no trouble playing back 8-bit 720p60 Uncompressed day in, day out.
I have it attached to 50m Fiber optic cables and the RAID is in another part of the building.
If you have questions, I would recommend contacting G-Tech directly. I had some questions when I first got it and I was able to call up and work with the product manager directly. Their support, to me, is on par with AJA (which is the best I've ever experienced).
I would recommend getting whatever ATTO card they suggest though. I had mixed results with the Apple-branded Fiber card. In fact, I called Apple to get support on the card and the "pro" support guy had no clue about what card they sell, no info on drivers, compatibility, etc. Not good.
I continue to buy more drives from G-Tech and hope to get another G-Speed XL soon.
