g-tech Q drive freezes

My G-tech Q drive mounts on the desktop (mac os 10.5.7) and the folders on the drive appear, but when I single click on a file (fcp files) the mouse cursor spins and the computer freezes in the process before I can double click to open it. Any suggestions please? Thanks.

Hi Roy,
Sounds like you may have a bad controller board. You will need to send it in for repair. Go fill out our RMA request form here: http://g-technology.com/Support/Support.cfm?Loc=Contact.
